How long does thermal printing last?

Thermal labels are heat sensitive, so they'll slowly fade when exposed to direct sunlight or heat. But! Do not fear! Even after 3 months in the sun, they'll still scan. We use them for all our parcels, and we've found we can still scan them after 6 months. They'd have to sunbathe for an absurd amount of time to be unreadable. So the long and short of it is, if you're printing something like a barcode that won't be in direct sunlight, you can expect it to stay scannable for up to a year. Just maybe don't take the package to your sunny beach holiday in Majorca.

Solves one of my key business challenges
I was in conflict on how to avoid those awful australia post plastic bags for my ecommerce business, I did my research, and then found thermal printing and eco labels. I started withAmazon, and read the reviews, not great spending $100- 200 on a printer that prints blurred labels...I found Heaps good, initially baulked at the price, but the quality is fantastic and support guides were fantastic. I read up on their other products and have been ordering other products, they really attracted me as theeir mission statement aligns to the problem I was aiming to solve. Their shopping is so fast, and product range is great and everything I have received has been great quality, I am in love with the DYI labels, once the templates are set up, its so easy to create custom stickers for everything! Birthdays, storage boxes, nothing has escaped my labels yet- and they are guilt free and fully compostable- what is not to love?
