Using 100% organic hemp cord is a zillion times better for the environment than using cotton. Also, most twines and rope are polished with a paraffin wax, which is derived from petrochemicals. We've used a natural starch, so it's completely oil-free.

Hemp Cord FAQs

Just the core ingredients! Natural hemp cord is made from the hemp plant and polished with a natural starch. Twine is made from twisting several fibres together, usually a combo of wool, cotton, and synthetic fibres, before being polished with a paraffix wax.

Hemp is super durable. It's actually 3 times the tensile strength of cotton, so take that, cotton.

Hahahahaha, yes. Since 2017, and you can even grow it yourself.

We know it'd probably be cooler if it did, but no. Hemp is like the straight-edge cousin of the family. Its THC levels are so low, it could never give you any side effects.

There's a lot of pics up above, but if you're scared to look, we can tell you that it's the more sustainable alternative to twine.

Darling, it positively begs to be macrame-d with. That's definitely a verb. It's actually sometimes known as hemp macrame cord.

Natural starch. This is what makes it a better alternative than twine, because most twine is polished with a paraffin wax that's derived from petrochemicals.
