DIY Labels FAQs
These labels are designed for the Bluetooth Thermal and TSC Printers, or basically any direct thermal printer that isn’t a Dymo or Brother. Just drop in the roll and go.
Anything that fits in the template and looks good on your product — logos, barcodes, ingredients, QR codes, fun messages, you name it. Just keep it within the printable area and you’re good.
It depends on the shape and quantity, but most labels work out to just a few cents each especially when you bundle up. We keep pricing low so you can brand beautifully without blowing the budget.
No, these labels aren’t compostable. They’re made with a coated surface for durability, so they’re not suitable for compostable mailers or organic waste streams.
That said, they can still be recycled when used on cardboard or paper packaging. In most Australian kerbside recycling systems, the cardboard is pulped into a slurry, and the adhesives and coatings separate during that process. So while these labels won’t break down in compost, they also won’t stop your box from being recycled.
If compostable is a must for your brand, we recommend using our Compostable Ecolabels instead.
Nope thermal printing is black only. But that doesn’t mean your labels have to be boring. We offer a full range of coloured labels (including white, oat, pink, blue, green and more), so you can choose a background that fits your brand then layer crisp black designs over the top.
If you're not ready to go all in on the thermal printing game, or prefer a hands off approach, we can print your labels for you. Head here for more details.
