Once upon a time, a humble kitchen sponge and a washcloth dreamed of a totally sustainable future.
They fell in love, and, well...
The Good Cloth was born.
Our paper towel alternative blends sponge-like absorbency with cloth-like durability, all wrapped up in a reusable, planet-friendly package.
Designed to be used again and again, our swedish dish cloths are in it for the long haul. If your eyes have ever teared up at the smell of an old sponge, rest assured that our Cloths won't stand for that nonsense. They're machine washable, and only need a bath every once in a while.
They're also ultra fast-drying, keeping bacteria at bay and meaning it can be used for ages, and ages, and ages.
Our fave part is that The Good Cloth absorbs like a mofo. Where a paper towel would give up and melt into pulp, our sustainable dishcloth holds up to 13x its weight in water. Now that's a good set of cellulose fibres.
Oh, did we not mention that it's made from plants? Constructed from 70% cellulose and 30% repurposed cotton, this little darling is 100% biodegradable and compostable. When it's time to say goodbye, you can do so knowing it'll be made into something beautiful and mulchy.
Step up your cleaning supply closet and wipe down your desks, countertops, appliances and more with an easy conscience.
Spend a day with the Good Cloth, and you'll never settle for single-use wipes again.

The Good Cloth FAQs
You can run The Good Cloth through a washing machine, or the top rack of a dishwasher. If you're not in possession of either of these things - and power to you - you can also hand-sanitise them. Dunk them into boiling water (briefly, that stuff is hot!). One place they do not enjoy is the dryer. Just let them hang dry or microwave them.
While this is a little dependant on how often you use and wash your cloth, they can withstand hundreds of washes. We'd estimate many months, or even more than a year. Not only that, but using one cloth replaces 15 rolls of paper towels - so you're doing the planet a favour, no matter how long it lasts.
Our cloths are made with cellulose and biodegradable cotton. When it's time to say goodbye to your Good Cloth, it can be composted commercially or in your own home compost.
The ultra-crispy factor of your reusable cloth is because they're designed to dry completely and totally, keeping bacteria far away. It's what allows you to keep using it for months, and keeps the old sponge smell at bay. Run it under some water to soften it, and it'll be ready for pairing with an earth-friendly cleaning product.
Because there ain't no cleaning fairies in our office! We still need cleaning supplies in our warehouse, shared kitchen, to keep our desks spick and span... and these cloths are one more step in our journey towards a totally sustainable packing space.

The Good Cloth: Swedish Dish 3-Pack
Looking for a fresh way to clean your home that’s kind to the planet? Our Swedish dishcloths, "The Good Cloth" 3-Pack, are the upgrade you didn’t know your kitchen needed.
Say goodbye to single-use paper towels and sponges that just don’t cut it. These biodegradable dish cloths are durable, absorbent, quick-drying, and come in colourful designs that make you want to wipe the bench.
Made from a smart blend of cellulose and cotton, they’re tough on messes, gentle on surfaces, and break down naturally when you’re done. Whether you’re scrubbing up after brekkie or wiping down sticky lunchboxes, The Good Cloth has got your back. Better still? You’re supporting a small Aussie business with every pack you buy.
Why Australians Are Ditching the Sponge for Swedish Dishcloths
Australians everywhere are making the switch from kitchen sponges to Swedish dishcloths, and for good reason. Each 3-pack of dishcloths is designed with both performance and sustainability in mind. The Good Cloth soaks up spills faster than you can say "kitchen disaster", rinses out cleanly, and dries in a flash to avoid that damp, smelly sponge odour.
Unlike cheap sponges that fall apart within days, these reusable cloths are built to last. Each one replaces up to 17 rolls of paper towels and dozens of synthetic sponges. That’s less waste in the bin and more value in your home.
Need another reason to swap? These Swedish dishcloths are also machine washable and dishwasher safe. Just rinse and reuse again and again.
And here's a little bonus: because these Swedish dish cloths are so lightweight and compact, you can tuck them in with your picnic gear, camping supplies, or even your gym bag. Cleaning up on the go just got easier and more eco-conscious. Plus, they make tidying up after pets a breeze. Quick wipe, no drama.
What Makes Our Swedish Dishcloth Different
This isn’t your average dishcloth. Here’s why:
Made from cellulose and cotton: 100% biodegradable and compostable
Super absorbent: Holds up to 20x its weight in liquid
Quick-drying: Stops mildew and pongy smells in their tracks
Machine washable: Use, wash, repeat
Plastic-free packaging: Better for you, better for the environment
Funky Aussie designs: Kitchen essentials with personality
The Good Cloth doesn't just perform, it looks good while doing it.
But performance isn’t the only thing that sets these apart. These Swedish dishcloths are designed to be workhorses in modern Australian homes. Whether you’re scrubbing stubborn splatters from your cooktop, wiping down sticky hands from the little ones, or polishing a wine glass for dinner with friends, they’re up to the task.
Each cloth is ultra-flexible, which makes them easy to wring out and get into the nooks and crannies that typical kitchen sponges miss. They’re durable enough for dozens of washes and tough enough to stand up to big spills, but never rough on delicate surfaces like stainless steel, ceramic, or glass.
Plus, with their quick-drying design, you won’t be left with a smelly, soggy cloth on your sink. Instead, you get a fresh, ready-to-go cloth day after day. That’s a win for hygiene, a win for convenience, and a big win for waste reduction.
And let’s not forget the impact beyond your kitchen. Each Swedish dishcloth helps cut back on paper towel use and plastic waste, making them a better choice for the environment. With every use, you're reducing your reliance on disposable cleaning products and making a small but meaningful difference.
If you’re someone who cares about both style and sustainability, our Swedish dishcloths are the perfect blend of both. They match function with flair. The Good Cloth was created with Australian homes in mind, adding colour and charm to your cleaning routine.
So whether you're setting up a more eco-conscious kitchen, searching for a smart addition to your zero-waste lifestyle, or just looking to ditch smelly sponges for good, these cloths are a go-to solution. They don’t just clean, they make clean living easier, smarter, and heaps more stylish.
Eco-Friendly Materials, Thoughtful Manufacturing
We take the term “eco-friendly” seriously: no shortcuts, no half-measures. Every Swedish dish cloth we sell begins with a clear intention: to minimise harm and maximise benefit. Our materials are carefully selected not just for function but for the footprint they leave behind. That’s why each cloth is made from cellulose (a plant-based fibre) and cotton, both naturally renewable and completely biodegradable.
When it comes to sourcing, we look for suppliers who go beyond basic compliance. We choose partners who use sustainable farming practices, reduce water waste, and actively avoid harmful chemicals in their production. Wherever possible, we work with Australian suppliers to cut down on freight emissions and support our local economy.
And we don’t stop at materials. Our manufacturing processes are equally considered. We work only with ethical factories that meet strict labour standards and environmental requirements. These facilities prioritise clean energy, fair pay, safe working conditions, and waste reduction. If they don’t meet the mark, they’re not on our list.
Even our packaging is put under the sustainability microscope. Instead of wrapping each 3-pack in plastic, we use minimal, recyclable, and compostable paper wraps. It’s simple, functional, and way better for the planet. No glitzy overpackaging, no unnecessary landfill.
That’s what makes a HeapsGood product different. It’s not just the result that counts, it’s every choice along the way. From raw material to delivery at your door, we ask: can this be done better? Can it be done cleaner? If the answer is yes, that’s the path we take.
From Materials to Manufacturing: How HeapsGood Sources Responsible Products
So when you pick up a pack of Swedish dishcloths from us, you’re not just making your kitchen cleaner, you’re supporting a cleaner system too. It’s thoughtful, it’s transparent, and it’s just how we do things at HeapsGood. HeapsGood doesn’t cut corners. From sourcing to packaging, we’re committed to sustainability every step of the way. We use naturally renewable resources and partner only with manufacturers who care about reducing their environmental impact.
Our cloths are made with ethical labour, low-energy production processes, and a focus on reducing waste. No greenwashing. Just genuinely good products that live up to their eco-friendly label.
We also believe in transparency. That’s why we share where our materials come from, how our products are made, and the real impact your choices have. Our commitment extends beyond the cloth itself. Every part of our supply chain is designed with people and planet in mind.
Plus, each 3-pack of The Good Cloth comes in minimal, recyclable packaging. No plastic wrap, no nonsense. Just a solid product that’s heaps good for your home and the planet.
How to Use and Care for Your Dish Cloths
Use daily for dishes, benches, stovetops, windows, and even wiping down your plants
Rinse after each use with hot water and wring out.
Wash weekly in the washing machine or dishwasher.
Air dry quickly between uses to avoid smells.
Compost it when it’s worn out — these cloths break down naturally.
Pro tip: Keep one cloth for the kitchen, one for the bathroom, and one for random messes. Easy.
To stretch your cloth’s life even further, avoid using them with harsh chemicals or bleach. These can weaken the natural fibres over time. A splash of vinegar or bicarbonate of soda is all you need for a deeper clean that’s still eco-friendly. And if you’re a fan of zero-waste living, use your worn-out cloth as a rag for odd jobs before tossing them in the compost.
Perfect for Gifting or Stocking Up
Looking for a planet-friendly gift? Or just want to keep a stash ready for every room? Our 3-pack of Swedish dishcloths is an ideal pick at a great price. Whether you’re moving into a new place, creating a housewarming hamper, or just tired of throwing away wasteful cleaning products, these dishcloths make sustainable living simple.
Buy them as a bundle, pop a pack in your tote for market runs, or keep one at work. Because good cleaning habits shouldn’t stop at home.
And let’s be honest: gifting eco-friendly doesn’t have to mean boring. These dishcloths are practical and eye-catching, making them perfect stocking stuffers, Kris Kringle surprises, or thoughtful thank-you gifts. Pair them with some Aussie-made soap or a natural hand cream for a small gift that speaks volumes.
Why HeapsGood? Because We Give a Stuff
We’re not just about cool cloths. We’re building something bigger. HeapsGood is an Aussie-owned brand on a mission to clean up wasteful habits, one product at a time. When you buy our Swedish dishcloths, you’re:
