Our members loved the ecopens and the packaging and the knowledge of the sustainability behind the goods. The only drawback is not pressing too hard as the nib then disappears.
When it comes to ink and environmental-friendliness, it's complicated. To be perfectly honest, there isn't a completely sustainable ink on the market in Australia at the moment. We're always researching to provide the best option that we can, and for these pens, we've landed on water-based ink. When this kind of ink dries, it releases almost zero toxins into the air (a huge difference from other inks).
Our Ecopens are! They're made from recycled material, and every part of the body is compostable or recyclable (but read our instructions on how to safely dispose of them).
Our paper pens are made from rolled recycled kraft paper.
Not really, unless you removed each part and the hard plastic casing. So unless you want to get real techy with your writing implements, we recommend an eco-friendly pen.
Only the paper body is! The ink tube and metal nib can go in the recycling bin.
